Question: Do you support Direct Push Email?
This question relates to category Hosted Exchange
Answer:
Yes. Our Hosted Exchange server supports Direct Push Email.
Setting up Direct Push on your Mobile Device is similar to setting up Activesync. Activesync checks the server every 5 minutes, whereas with Direct Push you only receive updates when there is a change on the server.
To setup Direct Push Email you will need to use the following settings;
- Server: me-au.server-secure.com (SSL is required)
- Username: mb123456a (substitute with your actual mail box number)
- Domain: EXCHANGE
For Direct Push you will need to set the Schedule option in Activesync to "As Items Arrive". If this option is not available you will need to upgrade the handheld with the Messaging and Security Feature Pack for Windows Mobile 5.0. For more information, go to www.microsoft.com/directpushemail.
