Question: How do I access my Email remotely (Webmail)?
This question relates to category Email
Answer:
When you're away from the office you can view any 'new' messages that have come into your email account remotely via our webmail service.
Webmail is the method to access your emails on the mail server by using a web browser. In this way you can use any computer that is connected to the internet to access your new messages*.
Click here to access your Webmail.
You can use Webmail to view / read / delete / respond to any messages. You can also compose & send new messages from within Webmail.
* Note: Webmail can only be used to view 'new' messages that have arrived at your email account since you last logged in using Outlook (or similar application). When you log into your email account using Outlook, emails are downloaded onto your computer and removed from the mail server (default Outlook setting). Once this happens you can no longer view these messages using Webmail, because they are no longer on the mail server.
Tip: When using webmail to send messages, you will not have a copy of sent email in your Outlook application. A work around to this is put your own email address in the BCC field with any messages you send using Webmail. In this way you receive a copy in your inbox, which is stored in Outlook when you next use your base computer to download messages from the server.
