Question: Keyword Optimisation
This question relates to category Internet Marketing
Answer:
Keyword Optimisation is the activity undertaken to ensure your targetted keywords will be indexed by search engines.
Your website must include the key words and terms for which you want to be found in seach engines. A search engine will not index your site for a particular keyword if those keywords are not present in the copy of your site. This is a two-fold challenge:
- Ensure the coding of your website allows search engines to ‘see’ your content correctly
- Ensure your website actually contains the keywords you want to be found for
When either developing your website, or undertaking a Search Engine Optimisation project, we will review your website and make sure your targetted keywords occur frequently enough and are present in all the right places in your website. This includes rewriting of the meta-keywords/description and title tags in your website coding for each page.
