Question: What is Monthly Data Traffic?
This question relates to the following categories: Business Hosting, Web Hosting, Windows Hosting
Answer:
Monthly Data Traffic is the measure of how much internet usage you are using between your Hosting Account (server) and the customers (clients) that visit your website.
When a person visits your website, data is sent from the web server to the computer of that website visitor. This data can be composed of web pages, images, movies, sound files, or anything else on that can be viewed or downloaded from your site.
Additional traffic is also generated from any dialogue between the computer and the web server (eg, page view requests and data transfer validation).
All this transfer of data between the server and a web visitor's computer is calculated in your monthly data traffic quota.
