URL Redirect

URL Redirects allow you to redirect your website visitors from one web address to another. For example, www.yourdomain.com/pricing might redirect to www.yourdomain.com/pricing/2006pricelist.html.

The reason for setting up a URL Redirect in the above example is obviously that you can communicate a shorter / easier to remember web address to your clients.

URL Redirects are also useful if you’ve recently changed a page filename or changed your domain name. In the above example you may publish a new 2007 price list at the new web address www.yourdomain.com/pricing/2007pricelist.html. Instead of communicating a new web address to your customers, all you need to do is change the redirect rule so that www.yourdomain.com/pricing directs to the new web page URL.
